Clinical Massage

This is a great course to learn about clinical massage. Discussions include pain theories, types of pain, pain perception, and pain management. Then we will discuss clinical assessments including range of motion, posture, gait, and tests for orthopedic conditions. Next, we will discuss sports massage as well as soft tissue injuries. Clinical application methods will follow, including trigger point therapy and myofascial release techniques. Last, we will discuss hospital-based massage, massage considerations for surgery, and end with discussions of working with individuals in hospice care.
